What happens in Solomon doesn’t stay in Solomon!

Our latest video

To mark our anniversary, we wanted to make a video and we decided it will be about stereotypes, from a rather humorous perspective. Stereotypes have always existed and will continue to exist. Mass media most likely plays the largest role in maintaining and reproducing stereotypes. Exactly one year ago, Solomon was born, a media project which aims to present viewpoints which people might not be used to, viewpoints that don’t uphold stereotypes and surely won’t be covered by other media outlets. So, happy anniversary to Solomon! We would like to thank all of you for your support!

How the Greek Media Cover the Migration Topics?

“The media and the public opinion vary between black and white and less in a grey zone where the truth normally is.”A photojournalist, two students, a political researcher and the president of the Greek Forum of Refugees express their thoughts about how the greek media covered and keep covering the migration topics. “The migrant and refugee voices themselves are not being heard and this is a problem because it’s different to have someone speaking on behalf of the migrants and refugees rather than themselves.”

This production was made in collaboration with Athens Live during Solomon’s participation at START – Create Cultural Change which is a program of the Robert Bosch Stiftung, conducted in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki and the German Association of Sociocultural Centers.
